Springtime blooms in the desert Southwest. The wildflowers, Poppies and Lupines, bloom in the spring after many winters rains here in the desert. There was a gorgeous display of these little blooms on Picacho Peak State Park, Picaccho, Arizona.

You'd think it would be easy to get photographs of poppies near saguaros. But the flowers never seem to exist right next to the cactus. Finding any composition with both in the same photo is an accomplishment.
