Description
Photograph is of the area where you can rent canoes or purchase souvenirs at the Emerald Lake Lodge area of Emerald Lake, Field, British Columbia, Canada. This was taken so you could see the lake and the mountains. I was able to get this shot early morning when the lake was very calm and the clouds provided a beautiful light.

Looks like a grand canoe ride to me, Lucinda. I wonder why the trees are parted and it that is a natural phenomenon? I imagine the area is cut in order to provide access to the lake. Grand photo and I bet you had a wonderful time!! FAV
Lucinda Walter replied:
Hi Reynold, the open area was caused by an avalanche. We had a wonderful time. The Canadian Rockies are so beautiful. Thanks!
